A degree in applied economics offers the perfect opening to a variety of careers. If you want a career in business, or think you might wish to pursue an MBA, our program offers excellent preparation. If you wish to pursue a degree in law or public policy, we offer the best courses and training in transferable research skills.
You can specialize in poverty and international development, environmental policy, managerial decision making, or you can enroll in our joint degree option with the Business School to earn a degree in Agricultural Business Management. Each of our degree options provides you with the very best preparation for a career that is just right for you.
Agricultural Economics was listed in 2011 as one of the top 10 college majors for employment opportunities, in a study by the Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce. See the Wall Street Journal report, here.
