| Legacy of Leadership |
On July 19, 2008, AAE Professor Gerry Campbell will be receiving the Russ O’Harrow Award for Outstanding Service to the Wisconsin Rural Leadership Program.
WRLP has been creating statesmanlike leaders for Wisconsin for nearly 25 years, developing leaders to strengthen communities. Gerry Campbell has cast a long shadow in WRLP as an active leader in some capacity from Group 1 to the current Group.
Gerry has always been effective at teaching the value any leader can make to a cause, a community of interest, or community of place. He has mentored many of leadership fellows over the years that have later gone on to do great things. He has modeled leadership as both action and an act of contemplation. He has taught how the interplay between ideas and action make for better leadership strategies.
