1. Download SecureFX (7.24MB). You will be required to login with your UW NetID and password.
2. Once you have downloaded it, install the client by running the file.
3. Accept all defaults. Make sure you DO NOT select FIPS mode.
4. Run SecureFX for the first time.
   
5. Click the "New Session" button
   
   
   
   
6. Select "None" for the SecureCRT option - this option may not appear if you do not have SecureCRT 5.1 or later on the same computer .
   
   
7. Select "SFTP" for the SecureFX option.
   
   
8. Fill in the appropriate information, including your AAE username:
   
   
   
   
9. Name the session "AAE SFTP Access"
10. Click Finish

USE: (every time)

1. Run Start-->Programs-->SecureFX-->SecureFX
2. Click on the AAE SFTP Access entry and click Connect
3. It will list all the home directories available on the AAE File Server. Certain people will have access to other folders, such as the PATS server and other restricted areas.
4. To copy files to and from the server, simply navigate to the appropriate folders, and drag-and-drop the files/folders between the remote window and the local window.
