If you attempt to post to an internal AAE mailing and list receive a message like the following:
Sorry, but Lyris ListManager did not find your email address
-> "jdoe@aae.wisc.edu"
You may not be a member of this mailing list. Consult TechDoc #3174 AAE Internal Mailing Lists for information on posting to lists that you are not a member.
OR
This means your email client is setup with your AAE address. Starting May 18, 2005, all official AAE lists require you send emails from your WiscMail account. Please see below how to setup your client properly:
Web WiscMail | Eudora | Outlook | Outlook Express | Thunderbird | Pegasus
Web WiscMail
- Log into WiscMail (http://wiscmail.wisc.edu)
- Click on Options
- Click on Personal Options
- Select your address that ends in "@wisc.edu"

- Click Save Changes
Eudora
- Open up Eudora
- Click Tools-->Options
- Click on Sending Mail
- Change return address to <yourNetID>@wisc.edu

- Click Ok.
Outlook
- Open Outlook
- Click Tools-->Email Accounts
- Select View/Change existing email accounts
- Click Next
- Select the WiscMail account, and click Change.
- Change E-Mail Address to <yourNetID>@wisc.edu

- Click Next
- Click Finish
Outlook Express
- Open Outlook Express
- Click Tools-->Accounts
- Select the WiscMail account, and click Properties
- Change E-Mail address to <yourNetID>@wisc.edu

- Click Ok
- Click Close
Thunderbird
- Open Thunderbird
- Click Tools-->Accounts
- Select WiscMail (or the name of your WiscMail account)
- Change Email Address to <yourNetID>@wisc.edu

- Click Ok
Pegasus
- Open Pegasus Mail
- Click Tools-->Internet Options
- Change My Internet e-mail address to <yourNetID>@wisc.edu

- Click Ok
