Research Interests
Provencher’s current research program focuses on the development of discrete choice models of the consumption of nonmarket goods and services, such as the Lake Michigan salmon fishery, with particular emphasis on the dynamic aspects of choice behavior; the interaction between socioeconomic and ecological systems, with an emphasis on the effect of ecological degradation on economic value and development patterns; and dynamic issues in resource allocation.
