Research Interests

I study the economics of development, especially relationships among trade, growth and environment. I am a Southeast Asia regional specialist with ongoing research in the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. My current work addresses:
• Globalization, poverty and environment in Vietnam: microeconomic and general equilibrium analyses;
• Causes and consequences of migration and labor immobility;
• Impacts of growth in China and the other BRICs on trade and development prospects for low-income economies.
